Client Policies and Tips for Success
Thank you for reviewing our client policies online. You may review the policies here, but we recommend that you download a copy for your records.
HOW WE WILL MEET
• We will send you a Zoom link for your initial class, and unless we notify you otherwise, that Zoom link will be the same one you will use for all of your classes.
• We strongly recommend that you use a laptop or desktop computer to connect with us for class, rather than a cellphone or tablet when possible, as Zoom recordings only work on laptops, and screen sharing is limited on phone and tablet.
• Please test out your lighting and sound situation so that we can provide you the best zoom class possible. Be sure to position yourself in a quiet location where you will not be disturbed and be sure to have adequate lighting on your face. (We need to see you and hear you!). Avoid sitting with an exposed window behind you, as this causes backlighting and we won’t be able to see your face. A ring light is not required, but may help to illuminate you well.
MATERIALS FOR CLASS
We recommend that you have the following handy at all of our Zoom classes:
· Paper
· Pencil
· A Hand Mirror
· Drinking Water
HOMEWORK
We will be working with you to move you closer to your accent goals in every session. A big part of your success, though, will come from exactly what, how, and how frequently you practice in between sessions. Be sure to set alarms on your phone that will remind you to do your personalized homework daily as prescribed by your accent coach.
PAYMENT
Payment for services is due at least 48-hours prior to the start of your session(s) in order to hold your appointment. We bill through freshbooks.com so that you may pay by online. If you don’t receive your invoice, please look in your spam folder for Freshbooks, and text us ASAP at +1-323-251-1944 if you can’t find it there.
CANCELLATIONS / SCHEDULE CHANGES
Your DialectCoaches.com accent coach may be contracted with a film or television show during the course of your sessions, and on the rare occasion, they may suddenly be required to work during your scheduled class session. Please know that your coach will make every effort possible to keep your appointment as planned, and if they must change your appointment, they will inform you quickly and be as accommodating as possible.
We know that last-minute changes may come up for you, too. If this happens, please inform your coach quickly. (Text is often best for this.)
With 24 hours or more notice any session may be rescheduled and full credit for the class will apply.
For sessions that must be rescheduled within 12 and up to 24 hours notice, 50% of the value your session will be levied. (For example, if your class was scheduled to be 60 minutes, you will have a 30 minute credit to reschedule.)
With less than 12 hours notice and for no-shows, the class time will be forfeited.
